Madheshi NGO Federation was established in 2006, with the vision that Madheshi people should live dignified and prosperous lives enjoying all the state allotted rights. Madheshi people, occupying nearly half of the country's demography, are living difficult lives in terms of social, political, cultural and other issues. There are discrimination in term of castes, religions, and many other measures within Madheshi communities in spite of state discrimination with this community. Their empowerment, in all sectors, is the great need of today; it is possible only after the joint effort of government and non-government sectors. In Madhesh, many NGOs are set up with the views of providing services to the Madheshi people, but it is their fate that they fail in many steps of their move and their missions are not fulfilled. MNF aims to strengthen the capacity of those NGOs to deliver the effective services from their sectors.  

MNF got registered in District Administration Office in 2006 having a registration number 06/63/64 and it got registered in Social Welfare Council (SWC) in the same year with 20437 affiliation number and it got 302732339 as its PAN number.
